At least two people were killed and six wounded on board the Cypriot cruise ship "Louis Majesty", being beaten by a giant wave on the way from the French city of Marseille to the Spanish in Barcelona, said the Greek Ministry of Merchant Marine .
The incident occurred at 15.30 GMT in the Gulf of Lions, when the Maltese-flagged ship was heading to Barcelona with 1,350 passengers and 580 crew members on board, they said to Efe said department.
The ministry said the victims are not Greek, but gave no information on nationality or sex.
"A large wave hit the cruiser and broke many of the crystals in the bow," the sources said.
The arrival of the cruise to Barcelona is scheduled for 19.30 GMT
